First edition, 5 octavo volumes, a large paper copy; illustrated with 2 engraved frontispieces, 31 plates and 3 folding maps, along with head-pieces; bound in full uniform ornately tooled red morocco by Clarke & Bedford, top edge gilt, other edges left rough; nicely preserved; small pencil notation on front fly leaf indicating that this copy is one of two purchased by La Duquesa del Infantado; 8 3/4 x 5 3/4 in.
